A Traffic, a Tomb, and a Mosque.I

My driver Raj met me at the hotel. However, i if you c. Believe it overslept. I fell asleep at 5 am and next thing I knew it was 9:56. I called down to to let the hotel tell the driver I need a hour to wash and eat breakfast. I met my driver with a nice BMW.
 The traffic is terrible here but not as bad a Bangkok.
Delhi is the juxtaposition of 5 star hotels,  poverty, and history which all comes together to give an exotic lunacy feel especially in Old Delhi. Our first stop was Humayun’s Tomb which is a magnificent garden tomb is the first substantial example of Mughal architecture in India. It was built in 1565 A.D.
The Tomb had some excellent architecture and tombs of the royal family are set within a peaceful park like setting.

An Exhausting Day..

Here was my very tired day:

Read
Order cheese plate
Binge watch some more
Sleep
Order Ice Cream
Make calls
Try to sleep for tour tomorrow.

The trip

On 2 Delhi

This has been an interesting but emotionally difficult week. First, after heading home from seeing Dick, I found out Debbie pasted away. A sad moment as his situation with Debbie brought up many person feelings I had with Fran.
I found out as well that my Godson John's moth had died.
Sarah and I went to the viewing yesterday. I will be going back today then pushing off to JFK for my 10 pm flight to India.
I got here in plenty of time to check in, go through security Nd walked over to Etihad Business Class Longe. The food is good, alcohol no problem, but wish it had more comfortable seats am d/or private room.
The Etihad Business class seat is a service with class. You can order food whatever and whenever you want. I actually slept on the plane. My only negative was I felt the seat was too low to the ground. A 2 year old was crying on the plane thankfully I always carry balloons to inflate and presto. happy baby. —-
After a six hour layover in Abu Dhabi, I spent the time in the adequate business class lounge. Good food, few outlets and no lounge seats or quite area.
We began takeoff at 3 am in the morning but ending us finding out Delhi airport was closed due to fog. We finally took off  for the easy 3 hour flight . I have to pay better attention to where the immigration counter is when you have an evisa.
Gratefully,  there was a car and driver waiting for for me outside baggage claim.  The short drive had me checking at about 11:30 am.
